  I am restoring an old craftsman scrollsaw, from the 50's. what can i use to make a sawdust blow pipe? maybe an aquarium pump?

yes, that's pretty common.

You can use the smallest one you can get. Also get some silicone tubing and a metal tubing. combine it and you'll be ready to go.
If you want it advanced you should get a loc-line system.
