I was wondering if I needed to get a different type of blade to cut plexiglass or can I use the blades I use to cut wood. If I need a different type of blade what kind do I get. Thanks

Hi Genevg, don't cut at too fast a speed as the plexiglss can melt and rebond behind the blade. Then you'll have fun!!!.LOL.

I use regular blades to cut plexiglass, remember to use very slow speed, and keep the paper backing on. Edward

Yea I don't change to any special blades either. Just slow speed and moderate to slow feed rate..

What if you have a single speed saw?? I think slowing the feed rate the glass would rebond?

Don't worry a lot about the re-bonding as you can go right back through the cut with the same blade and release the bonding. It's very easy.

I have found that if you put masking tape over the lines to be cut that you don't usually have a problem. I apply the tape and then draw the lines.
