Hello from the Netherlands
« on: April 15, 2012, 05:03:55 pm »
Hello to all,

after reading this forum for a week I decided to make an account myself.

My name is Richard and I live in Tegelen (the Netherlands), a small village near the German border.
I started scrolling in 2005, as I couldn't work for a while because I broke my leg. I bought a cheap scrollsaw because I was bored. Then I found out how much fun it is to be scrolling and after a few years I bought myself a better scrollsaw. (A Proxxon DSH )

Since then I made several things, from X-masdecoration (Schwibbogen) to portraits. I discovered this site because I was searching for new scrollsaw patterns and found them here. I hope to learn a lot from you and will try to participate as much as I can on this forum. But you have to remember, english is not my native language so forgive me my faults.

I trhink I introduced myself well enough, if you have some questions, just ask.

For now, good night ( it is 11.00 PM here)

Richard

Welcome to the forum, I'm Keith from Cornwall UK. English might not be your native language, but I think you type it very well.

Hi Richard,
I was born in Uithuizermeeden. Gron. Tegelen is that in Overijzel? Ik had eens een vriendin there in the buurt.
Steve Good has a lot of patterns and I am sure that you can find some you might like.
Your English is very good even better than mine. Feel free to email me have you do not understand some.

Greetings and Welcome Richard.

It appears your written ability with English is excellent.  Fear not.

I have the same problem as you, i'm from belgium, (Zelzate between gent en terneuzen) so also dutch here.
My english isn't 100%, but i have a feeling the people here understand what i try to say.
