OK, I know this question has been asked a million times, but here it is again.
Has anyone sold any projects on Ebay? I searched Ebay today, thinking I might put something up there. I searsched for "wood working; wood working projects; and home made wood working". All I found was lumber, tools, or buy a home based business. Then I searched for Scroll Saw projects and found Scroll Saws for sale and a bunch of pattern books for sale.
I don't know if one could sell scroll saw projects on ebay or not? Just wondering if any one else has tried???

i haven't tried but i see alot of turned pen on there.so i couldn't see why you couldn't

I used to make functioning fireplace bellows with carved fronts and offered them on ebay for $30.  There were others on there that were selling for $5.  Some looked pretty good in the photos. Some were even antiques.  Needless to say, I never sold any. In my experience ebay is for bottom feeders/buyers.  Not for sellers of crafted items made in the USA.

Some of us sell on www.etsy.com. You might give it a try.

type in "wood carvings" or woodspirits.  There are plenty of carvings on ebay.
I haven't sold any on there, I don't trust the bidding. I had two guys at work that had
sites, and they used the secretaries to run up the prices.  It's certainly not like it was years ago.
I rarely use use it to buy things, nor Craigs list.

I think a lot of the people who buy our art don't really know that it is scroll saw art, and wouldn't search those terms. Something like wooden art might lend more hits.
I also don't think many of the people who have bought any of my pieces would ever buy it from eBay. EBay isn't what I think of when I think of fine wood art and crafts.
I do use etsy, as dgman mentioned. My stuff fits a bit better there.

Here is a site a friend of mine mentioned...I have not investigated but she does fairly well on the site selling hand knit items.

Is there scroll saw work on ebay? If not, then there would also not be a customer to search for that.
I'm selling on a similar website like etsy (kind of a German version), that works quite well.

I sell them for $15
I also do band saw boxes,they sell foe $30.
The horse in the shadow box I posted the other day is there for $70 & getting a lot of attenuation.

Slowcutter....did you say you sell Bandsaw boxes for $30?  What size are they.  I have boxes I make in Galleries here on the Island, and they sell for $100 - $400....about double what I sell them for.
