Blade Info Needed
« on: March 08, 2012, 06:42:42 pm »
Hello all

Being as new to the craft as I am, I'm not sure about blade sizes that I want to order.

It goes without saying that I'll be getting Flying Dutchman blades.  But here is my problem:

I have been using Delta blades since getting my saw.  They were the only kind I could get.  It says that they are 2/0 on the package.  I really like this size but can't seem to find any FDs that are marked as this size.  It is as if they're listed with a different size system.  What would be the size I would need to order that would be the equivalent to my 2/0?

BTW... I tried using a spiral blade today... and really don't like them.  Perhaps with a lot of practice I might think more highly of them.

Much obliged

Mike has 2/0's i use them almost exclusivelly.

i think they are called fd-sr or something along those lines.

I use the #71 drill bits with them as well.  the #71 will work with the #1 blades also but no bigger.
