Steve's Man Cave Sign!
« on: March 02, 2012, 12:25:33 pm »
This is a simple project but was fun to make. It's my 2nd scroll saw project. The blade is 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood and painted silver. The handle is 1/4" poplar with several coats of linseed oil and finished off with knife rivets. I then counter bored 2 small holes in the handle and 1 in the spacer and epoxied rare earth magnets for attaching to my shop fridge. Thanks Steve for the free pattern. Thanks for viewing!

Nice job on that! I cut four of those last year and sold all of them. I plan on cutting more this year for the craft show season.

Thank you all for your encouraging words. Hopefully I'll have some work that's a bit more challenging in the future. I'm just trying to learn to walk before I run! Thanks again.

Coastie, really nice work there and I think the silver paint idea is great.    Made mine from walnut, but the ply and paint looks great as well.

Thanks for sharing.

Came out great! I cut it a while back. Unfortunately It fell off a storage shelf and exploded into an amazing amount of pieces.
