The sky is falling
« on: February 29, 2012, 05:36:56 pm »
We got an estimated 22" of snow overnight and now they are predicting 2-7" of snow tonight.  This morning at 7:30a.m. it was thundering out and besides that we had recorded winds for the state at 40mph.  This lowered my spring fever just alittle.
The kids are going to love it.  King on the mountain, snow forts, sledding and its a dream come true for snowmobilers.

:D :D ;) ;) Oh those fond childhood memories of living in Wisconsin. U will see how creative ur kids can be in the snow. This may spike some ideas for pattern making....nothing like going back for a bit.

This was a snow sculpture contest in the beginning of February.
I first saw the piles of snow for the contest and had very little hopes of big results and after the contest I walked by and saw this Hodag that jumped out of one of the piles of snow.  I was estatic with the results of such creativity.  You can see we didn't have alot of snow until today.

Dirts-

I live downstate in Lacrosse and all we got was some rain. I'm perfectly happy with that. I don't have to shovel rain! Have fun with all that snow.

Down south here near Prairie du Chien the storms keep missing us, we've only had 2 or 3 decent snows all year, I'm not complaining but I do miss the stuff sometimes.

We had some snow and ice from the storm. Our power went out at home for a couple of hours because of it, but the best news was that I got a snow day! No school for us on wednesday!

Some of us had the pleasure of working outside this week.   Ah, such is life.   We press on and make the best of it.   Sometimes the best is not having to work, sometimes it is getting home after work.

Stay safe all.  Spring is still headed this direction.
