How many to stack

I have ordered the Blois Goblet plan 025 from pedro at finescrollsaw.com I will be using 1/8 inch ply. It has six identical sides how many would you stack at once?

Pleased to meet ya's Malc....  I feel comfortable cutting to a height of 3/4" using a FD-UR #5 or #7 blade.  Hope this helps....  Danny  :+}

I try to stay under 1". Maybe 2 stacks of three.

I would probably do 2 stacks of 3. One stack of 6 would work. I really like stacking 4 pieces at a time so I might 3 stacks of 4 and make 2 of the project.

Hey Malc. The thing to remember is BB is made up of multiple layers of wood all with glue between each layer. The thicker the stack, the more glue layers you are cutting. Its the dried glue that wears out the blade faster than the wood alone. 1/2" is the thickest I'm comfortably with, although I have been cutting 5/8" lately. For accuracy I would stick to no more than 1/2" or four layers of 1/8". So for your project, I would cut two stacks of three.
