so much for scroll saw

got my a good deal on a craftsman scroll sawmade a nice stand for it finnaly got some new blades for it ready to start a project

wrong my 18 year old son decided to start using scroll saw  i went down there and seen the table adjusting plate bent up and torn off he siad oh yeah i forgot to tell you i had trouble adjusting the saw

saw is now bound for land fill

I think son needs to put his hand in his pocket for your next saw.  Then ban him from useing it.

Bummer! You must have loved your son when you saw what he did. I think if that happened to my saw I would come close to strangeling the person who did it.

he took out a planer last week too

i am going to see if a friend that works tool and die can machine a couple parts for me

I have four sons and none of them will touch my tools without my permission for something far worse than death happening to them. Plus it doesn't hurt that my shop is always locked and I am the only one with a key.  
FYI: I don't keep it locked because of my kids, they know how to properly use tools. I have over $35,000.00 worth of tools and equipment that I don't want to go missing from the hands of others.

And he took out your planer too??  Just how does anyone destroy a scrollsaw "adjusting" it? 

I've got two sons & 11 grands.  Never locked up my shop, never worried about anything getting damaged.  They know the rules and the consequences if they don't follow them.  I've taught most of them how to use the tools and how to respect them, just like my Dad did for me.  God help me if I'd have lost or broken one of HIS tools!!! LOL

No kids or grandkids around here.  Darn, and it would be nice to see them once in a while.  I'll take my chances on tool mishaps.  All female offspring.
