Don't look at what you might have done wrong, no one will notice that, just look at what you did right, from where I'm looking that's a very good first attempt, and I bet your girlfriend thinks so too.

A pattern is only a guide.  There is no right or wrong way to do something when using a scroll saw.  We all have made designer firewood in the past but most of the time the folks that you are making these things for are like "WOW I love it".  You tend to be your own harshest critic.  I have not found one person to date that cuts a pattern exactly like it was printed.  We all make adjustments, sometimes on the fly, for things like skill, and difficulty in cutting to a pattern.  You did great my friend it looks good and I am sure your girlfriend will love it.

Nice work. We all make mistakes and think about what we can do better. That is the wrong approach. Almost always, not a soul will notice.

What you should be doing is looking at what was correct and expand upon that. Looking at your work in this light keeps you from going crazy with all of the fine details.

From what I see...Your 'glass is more than half full'!

Well Done!

Just do another and make adjustments...not Corrections!

I have to agree here, we are our own harshest critics.

Your work looks fine, and I believe she will love to have it.

Keep up the good work.

you should pat yourself on the shoulder not critic yourself as you did a great job on the first bowl. Experience is the best teacher.
