problem with the adjustment knob.

Hi Steve: I have a problem with the adjustment knob.
The mark of the machine I have is Truper. is not very good, or excellent quality.
The adjustment knob is worn very quickly, I have to constantly change at least every 3 months.
Is this normal wear on the knob?
Sending a picture with the image of the machine and the knob so you can see which part is worn.
Do I need to buy a better quality machine?
Or am I doing something wrong?

frankorona, I'm not Steve but perhaps I can help.  It looks like the threads have been damaged.  I think I found the manual for your saw on the Truper web site, is it the SCA-16X?  It's all in Spanish so I haven't learned much, perhaps there is something there that could help you, if you don't have the manual - http://www.truper.com/manuales_ing.php?m=0&pagina=4&categoria=ME&limitInf=40

The damage to the bolt appears to be caused by a nut or something similar in the saw that is badly made.  Can you see the part the bolt goes through and is it damaged?  You may need to replace a part - if it is still under warranty, Truper may do it for you.  A part like that should last a long time, unless you are turning the knob too hard when you tension the blade.

My saw is out of commission from the past 3 weeks PROXXON for the very same reason( the threads are worn out on the rod) since it is under warranty the part is being replaced by the distributor on the way from Germany. I think I agree with Jscott2 that maybe I was over tightening the tension on the blade.

If your saw is not under warranty what I can suggest that you get that part made it is a steel rod,you have the thickness ,length and the type of thread,I think any machining shop will be able to do it.I am not an expert in this area but it just hit me that it can be done! I am sure our friends on the forum will be able to help you out with some other suggestions and ideas.

When I get that part I am going to get it duplicated just incase I have the same problem again as the warranty expires next month

Tomsunnu and Jscott2:Thanks for your comments, I will tighten a little less the saw.
But it seems that the problem is manufacturing defect., In the triangular portion which fits the rod has a slight play that makes it move easily.
It would be best to make a special order with a triangular in the base and has no pitching motion.
