I think it's interesting that no one has commented on this post, being so close to V-Day, I would guess ;)
I love the smell of saw dust in the morning.

I suspect most of us are way past the engagement stage ::)

Valentines day defibrillator.  Because of my age I have to turn it around.  "Words speak louder then action"  Love is in the eye of the beholder and its been awhile since I held her. When you've given it your all; theres nothing left.
After you've raised kids and you go into a card shop to pick up a valentines Day card and after the tenth one you feel if you gave one with those words you would be committing a fraudulent act.
Love is strange and the more you love the stranger you get.
Engaged, I'm just happy to get it in gear.  Once I get it going I have to lean into it.

My second marriage took place on Valentine's Day......an interesting and somewhat funny story for another time....

Lasted 15 years and I finally figured out she loved her kids more than me.

Tried my best to keep it going but it didn't change so we split.

After 43 years together, if I gave my wife a Valentine Card, the first thing I would be asked is, What the hell are you after. The rest of the questions are not fit for the forum!!! lol.

My husband and I have been married for almost 41 years and never in that time have Valentine's day cards been exchanged but then again neither have anniversary cards (I usually forget).  But he does get me flowers for our anniversary so thats better than nothing I guess.

I gave my wife Steve's heart puzzle for Valentine's day.  She gave me a card.  Been married for almost 40 years.  I don't think it's necessarily the gift, but the recognition.

I AGREE with Marion.....Best thing about Valentines Day is the half price candy.  Those chocolate hearts, lips and roses
taste just fine  ;D

We have been married 43 years, and I understand the "looking for cards" idea. I tried that this year. Then I came home and made one for her on the computer.
