She exercised perfect gun control.

They played part of the 911 conversation on our local TV and the dispatcher was very careful to tell her to "wait until he gets inside and then do what you have to do to protect your child and yourself"!!!

I don't know how she remained so cool!!!

I don't believe that.
So how do you protect yourself if you run into a street gang or someone breaks into your home in the middle of the night while you are sleeping?
Tell them to "gets rouse"? Of course they are going to say oh excuse me and leave scared that you are going to talk rough to them.          Pardon my German spelling.
When firearms are outlawed only outlaws will have them. The trusting honest law abiding citizen will be helpless!
I've owned guns my whole life and was a police officer, and never once had to use one but I was ready in the event that it was necessary. We buy insurance to protect ourselves from the losses by fire theft, or accident. A firearm is only another form of insurance.
