Among my friends in minor league ball the consensus is..."They can have him!" and I totally agree. That is obscene!

They will get burned by that 10 year deal.

Go watch him Dan! (But be sure to take LOTS of money to the ballpark!)

$25,000,000 / 162 = $152,320.98 per game

average 4 at bats per game = $38, 580.25 per At Bat!
That is totally insane...

average seat price $20 X 30,000 fans per game = $600,00 per game revenue

One Fourth of the per game revenue goes to pay Albert Pujols!!!!

I heard that the Angels just signed a new TV deal at $150 mil per season...

That means you are paying your primo player 1/6 of your TV revenue!

Every time he is intentionally walked the GM will cringe to the tune of $38,000!!!

Well GB, I am not a Base Ball fan, and if I was going to go see a game, It would be a Dodger's game. I can't under stand why the Angel's have to use L A when they are in a completely different city and County! They should be called the Anaheim Angels!
I don't even know who this Pujols guy is!
Sorry, No disrespect for Base Ball fans, It's just not for me.

As best I remember they started out as the Anaheim Angels. But I don't follow the majors that much and definitely not the Amer. League.

Someone told me today that ESPN has the most control over the cost of cable TV. I think I believe him. I hope Pujols stubs his toe and is out half the season. Of course, I do think he is one of the best ball players currently, but he will be on the downhill side of his career over the next 10 years.
