My Ornaments Came!
« on: November 29, 2011, 04:52:22 am »
Hi, Everyone!   I just wanted to show off the beautiful ornaments I received from Torsten! He was my exchange partner for this year's ornament exchange.  I think they are so awesome!  He sent a little stand up Christmas tree, a beautiful flowing angel, a momma and baby deer and a lovely little heart that would make a wonderful pendant.

Thank you so much Torsten for the lovely variety of ornaments.  I have the tree on my desk in front of me and every time I look at it I smile! :)    It is so much fun to get such a nice package!

Thanks to Russ too for coordinating the event so we can all enjoy each other's work.  We all really appreciate it! :)

I was thinking Sheila . . . .(That is always dangerous!)  that maybe right after Christmas, we can start a thread and everyone can showcase their exchanges.  That way they will all be in one thread for everyone to see.  We can wait until after because there are some that are waiting to open their packages until Christmas.  What do you all think???

My compliments to Torsten.  Making ornaments for Sheila must feel like being asked to do a painting for Michelangelo.  Top people on both sides of this equation!

Yeap, bill, that describes pretty much the process that I ran through. Changed my decision a couple of times.

But I was also sure that Sheila would give her positive spirit a go for whatever I send her.

Torsten, you do great work, and I'm not just bs'ing, but even if a guy like me with all thumbs sent Sheila an ornament, and it looked like crap, she would still find something nice to say about it.  Like I said before, top people on both sides of this one!

You did good Torsten, the challenge would be similar if you were sending an intarsia ornament to AL.
