Maybe I am dead or not from earth

I also may be the first to not be impressed with the EX-21.  It vibrates worse than my DeWalt and I have a heck of a time changing blades. Am I doing something wrong?

Something is wrong with the tension on your saw.  I can turn my 3x21 to max speed and stand a nickel up on the table.  I have both saws and can change blades in my ex21 just as quickly and easily as i can in the 788.

Judy,  If you have vibration, your motor may be mounted a little off.  Loosen the bolts holding it on a rotate the motor a little at a time.  And, yes, call Ray at Seyco.  He will talk you through it over the phone and get it right.

You know, at my age it ain't worth the fight. There are so many things like the vibration, blade changing etc.  I think I will just take it back and stick with my De Walt 788.  Having only the left hand to work with it makes it really tough.

Judy would the people that sold the saw help you rotate the motor like Julief suggested?

If the problem is what I'm thinking it is, you do need 2 good hands.  I've noticed that I have to hold the wood down harder with EX21 than I do with the DeWalt.  Is that what you are finding Judy?

Termite....It is 100 miles one way to the dealer.  Too difficult to tear down, load and unload and setup again.
Marg.  You are right about having to hold it down harder or use that hold down thing and that is really in the way.

I will admit defeat and stick with the DeWalt.

It's not defeat Judy.  You tried it, and found you liked your other saw more.  Simple as that.  No fault anywhere around it.  Happy Thanksgiving!  You have proven your tenacity just by the fact that you don't let your injured hand waylay you and stop you from your craft.  You have nothing left to prove.  Just enjoy!
