the magazine holder box.
« on: November 21, 2011, 12:47:44 pm »
I just made one of the magazine holder box  I just want to know what wood did you use and did you glue yours or nail  yours together. I glue mine but it was a pain in the butt.  Maybe you could put a notch on the back side so it would be easy to line it up and gule it...  or somthing like that like on the matches box..

I made this magazine holder box for my dad for christmas.       What do you think I should charge people if they want one too....

Did you try brad nails.  There are the heavy duty staplers that you can put brad nails in.

Most of those magazine holder boxes are put together with box joints.  I cut mine on the router.  I also saw a article for making a box  with a scroll saw , and used box joints for the corners.  It was in Scrollsaw magazine.
