Shop Photos
« on: May 13, 2010, 10:38:38 am »
I thought I would share with you photos of our shop.  It is 30X40 in size.  It has two roll up doors for two vehicles to fit in.  And it has a 3 roll up door on the back side for a smaller vehicle like a lawnmower or whatever if you were to store it in there as well.  It even comes complete with a walk-in side door as well so you don't have to open up the garage door to enter, which is opereated by a remote control and a switch inside the walk-in door.  We did not build this shop as it came with the house when we purchased it last year.  It does however, have a trailer in it that has logs of walnut and some other kind of wood that we are not familiar with that we cut down in our yard, which you will see in one of the photos.  We call it our home away from home.  It looks as though we don't have much room but we have alot more room left to use up and would have ALOT more if the trailer and ALL THOSE LOGS weren't in there...LOL

I would like to see others of you share your photos of your shops with us all, as we all have different ideas that might help others that would want to set up a shop.

BTW, my shop is NOT CLEAN!!!!  So, don't think you have to clean your shop before you take pictures and post them.

Wow! What I wouldn't give for a place like that!  You have so much room there it is great!  Does your husband do woodworking too?  Thank for sharing with us. :)

Yes, he does, Sheila.  He turns on the lathe and cuts on the saw as well....But, he hasn't cut ont he saw in a while now.  I am beginning to wonder if he remembers that he still has one and how to turn it on.  LOL.  I don't turn on the lathe.  I am the sawer.  LOL.  I will get around to posting some of his cuttings on here though to show off his work and might post some of his turnings on here as well.

I have a lathe, but I also need someone to teach me hands on how to turn.  LOL.  I like the shop and how well organized it is.  Do ya'll cut you own logs?  What kind of trees were they?

i like the bbq in the picture. if you mess up you can burn the  wood in the bbq. no one would know you messed up and you could cook dinner at the same time. Mike

Nice.  Lots of room.  If mine was only a little bigger, oh never mind - as they say, it is what it is.  ;)

Size (of your shop) really does not matter.

I always say:

"It's not the size of the pencil--- it's how you write your name. :o
