The Anchor Holds
« on: November 18, 2011, 11:42:43 am »
Last Sunday night at church Jeremy Dailey sang this song and it touched me so that I just had to make a pattern for it. I will make it in sections and add the rope then post it for everyone.

Below is the lyrics:
I have journeyed through the long dark night out on the open sea
By faith alone sight unknown and yet his eyes were watching me

CHORUS
The anchor holds though the ship is battered
The anchor holds though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees as I faced the raging seas
But the anchor holds in spite of the storm

I've had visions, I've had dreams, I've even held them in my hands
But I never knew they would slip right through like they were only grains of sand

CHORUS
The anchor holds though the ship is battered
The anchor holds though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees as I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds in spite of the storm
I have been young but I am older now and there has been beauty these eyes have seen
But it was in the night through the storms of my life that?s where God proved his love to me

CHORUS
The anchor holds though the ship is battered
The anchor holds though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees as I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds in spite of the storm

I am going to cut the letters separately and place them on the shield.

Great job Wade how are you going to include the lyrics with the shield?

RR this should strike a chord with you as well! It did with me.
Couple of "Old Salts".  ;D

Looks fantastic Wade. Adding the rope really adds to the piece.  :)
