Hello again
« on: November 15, 2011, 12:36:34 pm »
Hello my scrollsaw friends!  Sorry I am not here as much lately.
I have been trolling the social media networks...uhm...networking. Such as FB and LinkedIn. Along with all the job search sites. Filling out endless questionnaires, emailing and faxing resumes, making connections. Scouring craigslist. Doing any work that comes my way.
Only to get a phone call, yep that happened, from a plumbing company I had physically stopped in at over a year ago. He asked me in for an interview.
That was yesterday. It went well, but I won't hear back for about a week.
If you pray say one for me. I have done what I could. It is in God's hands now. I am hoping this is the one He had me waiting for.
Then my excuse will be I'm working!  :) Don't know what that's like these past 3 years!
Torsten told me to get back in the woodshop.(to get my mind off the wait) I really have to, I got an ornament to finish and send for one of you friends!
I got mine from Marg. All the way from Australia. Awaiting opening!
Sorry this is so long...had a lot to say.
Thanks my friends for your friendship and support here!

Harold

It's so insane....The past 4 months I had just all a total of 12 days off and me complaning that I been too busy,,and feel ashamed now...
I pray things go good for you....I wouldnt know what I would if I was in your position...
As Torsten said,,get in your shop get your mind off things...It helps ,,I do that all the time when I feel down and when you make something that you can give a joy to others that make things the more the better..
Bad times dont last forever...Your love from your family,,friends are with you.... Good luck and never apolligise what you have to say....

Welcome back.

To go into my shop is what I do. Especially when I'm working too much, I need the time off.
That wood shop is my world, and therefor my rules are the only valid.
Sometimes I don't even get to cut some, but just to be in there half an hour, sorting some, cleaning something, or checking my wood storage is what brings relief and me back to live.

Best of luck to all you guys who are suffering right now.  Been there and done that.  The best thing I can tell you is that I re-invented myself and worked my way back up again.  If I did it, then you can to.  Wish there was someway to help.
