A Different Type of Ornament.... :+}
« on: November 07, 2011, 04:28:11 pm »
These are designed by Sheila Landry and Dawie got me into cutting them.
I simply LOVE cutting and assembling them.  They look so Rich and Eloquent.
The picture is the best I could take.  To see them in person is very much different.  Enjoy....  Danny  :+}

Danny,

I love those!  I have made some too.  I used BB and I have also used some solid woods.  I plan on making a lot of them for a show I have coming up in less than a month. (Oh crap, I better get busy!)  I see you are a Alabama fan, I live in Cullman!

Good work again,

Leldon

Dan....and....Leldon....  Dan I have give lots of thought to the finishing part and except for dipping them in your special mixture that's it, but I can see them being different colors also.  Thought about painting each piece before assembling, but that's just to much time consuming and I don't paint good.
Your ideas are excepted or anyone eles.

Just a Follow-Up bout assembling these ornaments.  I have been using TITEBOND FAST DRYING GLUE.  Its almost like a super glue.  Works Great.
                                   At least they give you 6 seconds.  LOL  Danny  :+}
