Here are a couple of  potpourri bowls I turned and scrolled the lids, I used to buy pewter lids but they are not selling now and they are getting to dear, the wood on the tall bowl is N.Z. rimu and the other is N.Z. matai

Great idea and work there Jimbo. That would also look nice to inlay contrasting wood and then do the scroll work.

Thanks for the compliments the patterns are from Steve's pattern library, I have just adjusted then to fit the lids, inlays don't fit this project as they are potpourri bowls and have to be open at the top to let the perfume out.
I am going to take art classes and hopefully I will be able to design my own lids with a NZ flavor

Great job on the lids, they really stand out and my favorite is the Dragon lid.
