GB, I haven't posted much, but have read all of your posts with great interest and am really happy for your success in restoring your hearing. A true blessing for you.
I want to encourage you to not only continue to post here, but also to create that blog you mentioned doing. My reasons are that I know from experience that there are MANY people out there feeling lost about their own health problems, be it hearing or some other issue, and wondering what to do.
Personally, I am diabetic and am very active on a chat thread for diabetics. Nearly every day someone who was just diagnosed joins us, looking for answers and support. They know they have diabetes, but now what? What foods can they eat, when, what meds, and most of all, what does the future hold for them? The more experienced folks answer these questions and give support, encouragement.
My wife has a different disease, pulmonary billiary cirrhosis (PBC) that affects the liver and is life threatening. Not much was known about this disease just a few years ago when a few women diagnosed with it formed a group and started a blog. Since then it has grown, doctors have joined, and a cure is being sought. She is one of the founders and very active on their thread as well. Again, new people join nearly every day, totally lost on what to do now, needing help and assurance. They get it on that thread.
I really commend you for all that you're already doing, GB, and encourage you to continue spreading the word, giving others that hope and support.
