I assumed everyone had seen and heard the news on the national media.

One heck of a run over the last month!

Tonight we are having typical mid-October weather...Cold, rain, wind...the whole mix!

Damn shame they have to stretch the season so long just to pick up the extra dollars to pay those high-priced so called athletes.

But my 74 years of civic pride forces me to support the Home Team regardless!

Of course you checked my new avatar!

I just cannot fathom playing baseball this late in October!

So many teams have such poor attendance during the year and it would be so easy to fill those stadiums by reducing the price of everything including the player salaries and still make huge profits.

The same goes for all major Pro sports. BUT people keep paying the prices just like gasoline!

I used to hate spring practice in March when it was cold and every ball that hit your glove or bat stung like holy hell! And having been a catcher most of my 'career' I know what that cold does to the pitchers' hands! Damn hard to control the ball when your hands are cold!

Tonight's Forecast: Tonight: A 20 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 41. Northwest wind between 16 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
Now would YOU want to sit outside for 4 hours and 'enjoy' a baseball game in that?

Baseball should be played in warm weather on GRASS in the daytime!

Oh well it will be warmer in Arlington, TX when we whip their fannies down there!!! Hoping!!!

Another one of my pet peeves! Pro ball sports. Not only are the players, teams and organizations over payed, they are doing it from the wallets of the fans that they are suppose to entertain and expect the fan to support them in spirit.
Football used to be a fall sport, now it starts in July and ends in March!
Basketball was a winter sport, now it goes from September until April!
Baseball was for summer time fun, these days they play from March to October.
And most of the players of all of the pro sports have contracts for millions of dollars a year paid for by anyone interested enough to attend a game.
I can't help but wonder what tax bracket they are in? Do they pay at the 30 percent rate that I do? I doubt it.

Off my soap box now.......

I hope you all don't think I am un-American, but I am not a Baseball Fan, So I don't care who wins or not. But I will congratulate GB for his team winning the first game!
Love Football, Hokey and NASCAR!

Hey being a Brewers fan I ahhhh, was hoping for the worst for you but hey, we had a good run and now I would like to see the team that beat the Crew go all the way!  My second choice I guess. ;)
I love the smell of saw dust in the morning.
