Rob Roy: Their is no such thing as a dumb question. In the US Army, the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. However should someone ask, which end does the bullit come out of, they make them cooks.

Roy, the spirals are just another tool in your box. Some people hate them and say that most of the time after they tried them once or twice. They take practice, them practice a little more then you get serious and practice some more. I guess by know you know that I feel that by the time you have done this practice you will like them.. Who know? But give them a chance. It makes no difference on how good you are with flat blades. They are a different tool.
When you get better with them you can try this which was done with all spirals. Not saying it could not have been done with flat blades but spirals was the tool I choose to use.
