Remembering 9/11/01
« on: September 09, 2011, 11:59:34 am »
I hesitated to post this picture of an Intarsia I made, because I did not design it.
However, I want to share it with everyone because I think it represents the feeling we all have towards the United States and what happened Ten Years ago this Sunday.

About Six months ago some one sent me a hand-drawn pattern and a blurry picture, of what looked like it could be a Segmentation/Intarsia, with a note saying it looked like something I would want to make.  There was no name or return address on the envelope so I don?t know who the person is that sent it.   I don?t know if it was their original pattern or not, but I could see it would make a beautiful Intarsia, especially to commemorate the horrible event that happened in New York to the Twin Towers.

If anyone has seen a Intarsia like this posted or knows who owns the original please let me know how I can reach them; I?d like to pay them for the pattern and assure them I will not sell the one I made or the pattern, as I did not design it.

Who ever did should be very proud; I think it?s perfect.   I wish I?d thought of it.

Who ever did send you the pattern, knew the right person to send it too! As usual Al, simply beautiful! This one also tends to tug at the heart strings. Thanks for sharing it.

I may not be American but 10 years ago we all felt your pain and loss and I will admit that this amazing Intarsia  as bought a tear to my eye.  It is magnificent.   Our thoughts are with you for Sunday.
