New machine
« on: September 05, 2011, 02:10:26 pm »
Hi all
I have to get it of my chest.
Last weekend i bought myself a brandnew scrollsaw, a Einhell.
I specially bought a type for frequent use... about 170 euro's.

I started very happy and it worked well.
Untill just now .
I was making a "masterpiece"  ;) and all of a sudden it started to make a loud noise.
Sort of rattling, a metal to metal sound.

I quickly turned it of, and stopped scrolling.

It's new so there is a warranty on it, but still..... :'(
Now it will take till the weekend before i can return it to the store, and i'm out of machine for a few days.
I hope i don't get fever or something like a drug addict gets going cold turkey.
In the mean time i'll keep myself busy reading all the thing you guys (and girls) writing down here.

Regards Glenn

Hey Glenn, Is it possible the blade came loose or does it sound like it's inside the machine?

Hi Dgman
It's inside the machine.
I better bring it back then start to fiddle around on it myself.
But there's sunshine after the rain, because i can use my brothers old scrollsaw for this week.
It's a piece of antique, but it works, and it's better then nothing.

And that "masterpiece" will have to wait a while.

Regards Glenn

Take off the cover on the right side. You'll find the mechanic down there. If the extender on the rear end came loose you'd have to open the complete right side - also no big deal.

Hi torsten
I've opened an old scrollsaw before and i know what you mean.
But since this machine is new i don't want to play around with it to much, and just use the warrenty.
I payed for good stuff, so i want good stuff. Not a machine that breaks down after a few hours of working.

Anyway thanks for you reply and have a nice day

Greetings Glenn.
