Two weekends ago was our woodworkers club annual summer BBQ. I always do a demonstration on the scroll saw. This year I decided to do Steve's scrolled mini clock. At the BBQ, we always have a silent auction where members donate something they made to benefit the club. I decided to donate the clock once it was finished. I gave the winner the option to take it home with her, or I would take it home and apply the finish. She opted for me to apply the finish. So here is the completed clock. Made from 1/2" Mahogany. It took about a half an hour to cut, and cut with a Flying Dutchman UR #3 blade. Finished with my 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits. Top coated with Deft semi gloss spray lacquer.
The picture was taken in my new light box. Still experimenting with it!
