I really like how you framed it and just having the red behind the dragon really sets the whole thing off.

 Now lets see the other with a different backer for comparison. Just for kicks see if you can find an oval frame, or make one your self, I'll bet that would really set it off!

Ok, you asked for constructive criticism.  I don't think you should do work of this caliber any more because it makes so many of the rest of us look so bad.  Can't you dumb yourself down to make us feel better about ourselves?  ::)

The dragon looks great with the red. I have this pattern but just never got around to cutting it.If it were me I would use an oval backer for it. I think that would even set iy off more. Good job and you don't have to tone it down at all. Set the bar high for others to try harder. Bobby

WOW, great job.
the only criticism I can say is that you should have a bit more self esteem on your work, it's a great project.
