Would like.
« on: August 18, 2011, 03:05:13 am »
You know what I would like to see on here, yes a like button would be good, but I'd also like a button next to each topic so that you could highlight a topic that you would like to keep referring too.  For instance say that I found out how often you clean your saw and I found it really good information but knew I would forget the answer (seniors  moment) then I could highlight that topic and know where it was the next time I was looking.  Just a thought.

Great idea, Marg.  I would be sure to use it...I spend too much time going back in posts looking for that one suggestion.

Make a folder in your bookmarks and keep a copy there to refer back too.

Well Marg do you know how to copy and paste? (Honest question not alot of people do) If you do then copy and paste the tip into a program like open office or something then create a folder in your documents that will hold only the tips you want to keep and then when you need to look back on them just refer to that folder.. When I started wood working tahts what I did I still have them on a flash drive just in case I need to ever take a refreher course on it.... but you will find that is the easiest way to do it..Although I like your Idea as well.

When you copy the text from the forum and then paste it, it becomes white on white and you can't read it.  Just highlight the text and change the color.

Marg,
To get an easy black and white page to cut and paste, just click on the print button on the bottom of the postings.
A page will come up that you can copy and paste without any background or anything.

A "Thank You" button. So that all the great posters who help others can collect thank yous. Maybe a prize at the end of the year for the one thats helped the most people.

On the other hand you could have a "Stupid" button I know I'd hold the record for that :)

If its a computer problem/ question then I would hold the stupid button record.  Only capable of doing basics on the computer if I do something really good for me I almost throw a party.  LOL
