Mr Fixit Series

It's been suggested and I've received a few emails requesting that I continue the Mr Fixit series beyond the Four planned.

The reason I planned for only Four is that's all the cabinet doors I have in my shop and that's where their resting place will end up. 
I stuck them to the doors for the attached picture with double sided tape until I have the fourth one completed and then I'll mount them permanently, once I rearrange them a few times, lol.

I'll have to think about additional ones, I'm not crazy about making the same thing over and over.

I think they are great Al. A series of them would be awesome. You could copyright them and sell the patterns on line or sell them to the scroll saw catalogs.

Do you mean shop as in wood working shop?  If you do won't they get pretty dusty in there, it seems a shame to dirty them.  If you don't mean that sort of shop please disregard this message.

For those who think I spend a lot of time cleaning my shop would be happy to see it most of the time, lol

The only time I take time to sweep-up and blow the dust out of the shop is after I complete each project and that's when I take pictures of each item.  Once I start the next project cleaning takes a back seat, until I start tripping over all the scraps. Most of the time you can't see the top of the workbench.

Margaret,  Yes I do mean wood working shop and yes it gets real, real dusty in there and you are right, it is a shame, but that's the price I pay for not having wall space in the house.   And yes, I've been warned, by my better half, that they will get dusty out there and shouldn?t do it. 

Years ago I painted, with Oils until we ran out of wall space and then after I retired I started making Intarsias and had to move most of the paintings to our vacation home to make room for them.  Between Intarsias, remainder of the paintings and my wife?s collection of ?Precious Moments pieces? we are completely out of wall space, without it looking too cluttered. 

But!!!!  To me the satisfaction I receive is seeing a project completed, good or bad and then I move on to the next one.  Maybe I?ve made so many items that they are starting to loose their sentimental value. The way I look at them is they are just objects that can be dusted off with a soft brush and if they start looking too bad they can be replaced with something new.

(Hey, maybe that?s the incentive I need to continue the Mr. Fixit series, but then I?d have to find someplace to store them until replacement time. I can?t win)

I know what you mean about lack of wall space, I have the same problem.  Have you tried rotating your works of art and give each piece a time to shine.?

Darn Marg great minds and all that, I was going to say rotate them every couple of months and it will seem like a new house every time. We have the same problem in our cabin it's only about 1500 + / -
Sq. ft. and a lot of it is windows and sliding glass doors. Gotta suggest this to the "Boss"!
