Another thing I am missing out on by living on an Island....no Dollar Tree or Dollar store of any kind here....

When they are in the holder. What stops them from going all the way down?Dave

Looks like there is a lip or ridge below the cap that stops them from going all the way through. Look at the top picture and you can see the ridge.
