Help Please 788 parts
« on: August 07, 2011, 03:26:50 pm »
The threads of the blade chuck are stripped.  The part number on the diagram is 36.  Where is the best place to order replacement parts?

Judy, That is the place I order parts from. While your ordering the blade holder, you might as well order new set screws and new thumb screws. That way your saw will be just like new!

Hi Judy you could take it to an engineering place and ask them to put in a helix insert and that will get you going

Judy ... WARNING .. do not clean house ... if people see it clean they will expect it to be like that all of the time .... just keep it picked up enough to have the "lived in" look ... that way when the saw is fixed you don't have to worry about fuzz balls and dirt and can saw in peace.  Just my two cents worth.

I resisted the urge to clean house, took Gabby's advise and surfed for patterns.
My house has that lived in look.....unfortunatly it looks like it was lived in by a couple of bears and maybe pig or two.
Come for coffee anytime, the pot (coffee) is always clean ;D

Another good one is "GREEN TAIL AIL"

Hi Judy
I moved the screw from the hold down bar which I never would use to the one to hold my blade in.  Works like a dream.
