Summer/Annual Vacation/Holiday Doings....?

I know this isn't Scrollsaw yacking, but at least if you leave for vacation etc. you not making sawdust.  LOL  Just thot it would be interesting to let each other know the PLANS for doing something different or other than the daily normal.  LOL  Ok I'll start....  My wife and I save, save and save some more just so we can have enough monies to just take off and get away for a few days.  Our normal is to go to Tunica, Mississippi.  Has 9 Casinos.  Yepper we do enjoy taking a chance.  Normally we come back with most of what we took.

OK...my turn...

July 16th thru 19th visiting family in Cinncinnatti and going to visit the Air Force Museum in Dayton....

Aug. 5th thru 9th will visit family in Littleton and Estes Park, CO.

Been retired for 8 years and am on vacation at least 4 times a year, best job I have ever had, and the Government pay me to do it

Just got back from Bakersfield, CA visiting brother and his family, sister and her family flew in from TX, and my Mom was there from FL.  Pretty nice time actually.

That's great Chief glad you had a good visit with your family.
 Although it isn't called Bakersfield be cause of the great strudle.
Good place to cook your brains. not quite as bad as Barstow. LOL

Going to do a tour in Sweden this summer, staying in log cabins in S?fsen, Orsa and Idre.
will drive between 2000 and 2500 miles.
next to that going two weeks to mobile home on a camping in Holland.
close to home, so maybe I'll go home a now and then for a couple of hours of scrolling.
(depending on the weather)

so 4 weeks no work  ;D, no scrolling :(.

will send some pictures when I'm back.

     I'm retired, so everyday is a vacation - how ever, I have a scroll saw in my truck with a pull along camper (Hi-Lo) and my wife loves to go any where, as long as it's heading North of Florida. I have always taken things I scrolled - parts and pieces to make things. People always love to see things being made and I love talking to them. I hope I get people started in scrolling. Durning down times I make things - all sorts of things. I have to stay busy or I go "Nuts" ! I can only take so much TV or movies. People always come over to see what I am doing and as you see I am a talking NUT. I made myself a small sign, On one side it says "Wood N Stuff'" and on the other side it says "Designer Firewood" - it gets peoples interest and they stop by and question.

We are headed out to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in August.  Looking forward to visiting a new to me place.  I see we have some scrollers on this site from that area.

This year will be staying home.  with the price of gas can't afford to go very far.  Maybe a quick vacation to the grocery store or maybe Lowes

beginning of June went and did 1/100th of the Appalachian trail (25mi) with g-son @SIL, brought both G-son (12) and G-dau (9) back to Wi and kept them for the month ending with a fam. reunion/vacation over the 4th at the local state park...ohhhh, and I bought a new boat ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D, sorry didn't mean to brag

talking about g-kids and family isn't bragging at all.
