Found another saw that uses these clamps: Porter Cable Saw

Refering to the spare parts online order system they are Part-Nr. 98 on the Part Diagramm.
Order Number is
5140079-27 BLADE HOLDER ASSY.

costs 9.14$ each. Worth every cent. can be ordered direct online.

I see the bottom # is 97 on the part diagram, do you have the part number of that as well?

BTW, i see it's in back order...... :(

Marcel,
what ever that is - it's supposed to cost 62.35$ !
Looks on the diagram pretty much the same, the price doesn't match.

You as a native European should check the Scheppach Website and order them there (if wanted of course!)

blade clamps @ Scheppach. They charge 10? each.

Thanks!
I might, I have an old saw which I might change then.
I'm not gone cut of anything of my hegner....  8)

again one clamp, this does give me the question if the top and bottom clamps are different?

no, they are the same. I use 2 of them, that makes it easy to change blades.

You will thing about modifying your Hegner  ;D - but try 'em first on the other saw. You'll love them.

Update on my modifications:

The blade clamps are perfectly working. Kind of fun to change the blade now.

The bike quick release I mounted as a lever broke last night! I don't know why. No big action, it just felt like a broken blade and I was surprised to see the blade was fine.

I'll mount another one and see how that one performs. In general this also worked really well so far.

I guess you don't go to work on your bike anymore ;)

*lol* That's too far anyway.

I actually had "some" bicycles in the past, I even have raced some mountain bike and road. So I had to have a bicycle shop and did build up a couple of racer's machines not just for myself.

But when we became a family it all ended (kind of) and now I have just about 3 bikes left.

Update!

Strange - but I had really problems with the replacement lever I used now. It was a usual Shimano XT Lever - standard in mountain biking.
I was cutting some key hangers and other small items, so I had #1 and #2/0 blades in use. I broke half a dozen of them, all at the wood (not at the clamps).

I now switched to another lever, which seems to work better. I don't know why. Might be better to adjust for the tension.

Can you say where/how you can buy them at around 10?? as I could not find the right page, and when I asked a UK supplier, I was told ?19 each, that's around $30!!!!!

I contacted Porter Cable, but they don't ship outside the US.

Well I bought the Scheppach clamps anyway. They cost a total of ?27 for one of the type Torsten fitted to the top, and a grotty casting for the bottom (which I won't use). To get Torsten's setup I would have to buy another of the same set of two. Not worth it.

Torsten, does your clamp swing freely? The one I got has a spring pin pressed in and the swinging movement is very stiff.
