Pattern for the Poplar Bowl
« on: June 13, 2011, 12:22:07 pm »
I apologize for the pattern.  I made the bowl on the fly and drew the pattern right on the wood.  The rings are supposed to be 3/8 in. thick.

Hmm, I'm only getting a white space instead of the pattern  - same thing where the bowl is displayed.  Anyone else having problems?

got a quick question for you DW. what size blade do you normally use for making bowls or 3/4 stock in general ??

Depends on the wood I am using but either a #7R or a #9R.  With the rings being as thick as they are if you stay on the line when cutting then you will have a lot of room for sanding and adjustments.
