okok - if I understand this mixture of words right:

You have problems with your Axminster AWFS18, as it cuts quite slow in a 1" piece of wood.

I'd like to ask some questions:

- what kind of wood do you cut?
- which blades do you us (brand and number)?
- do you cover your pattern with some tape?

regards
Torsten

To add to Torstens questions: Does the arm move up and down as fast as the Delta does?
I looked at a picture of it, it appears to be variable speed. If the arm is not moving at a comparable speed to the Delta when both are running on high speed, then it could be a bad potentiometer (The little dial you turn to change the speed). But really need more info to diagnose the problem properly.
