I forgot about how useful it was in sanding the inside of the bowl. Sand the inside before you glue the bottom on, and then sand the outside.

I too went to Canadian Tire on the weekend and bought the Oscillating spindle sander.
I have ( money on my card ) Options master card so it didnt cost me anything.
Just need to set it up yet.

I am sure once you have it and begin using it, you will wonder how you got along without it.  I think especially for the money, it is a great investment and will enhance your woodworking experience. Congratulations!  Please let us know how you like it! :)

Congratulations Jim, you just gotta love Can. Tire for their Options card. I go through about $120 of gas a week so it doesn't take long to build the points up.

MRSN - I hope you're right about using the spindle sander for the bowls because that's the next new thing I want to learn with my new saw.

I've only used the sander on one minor job so far. Could've used the disc sander, but hey I wanted to try the new toy out.
