Mothers Day Coaster
« on: April 06, 2011, 05:25:41 am »
With mothers day coming up on the 8th of May in most countries, I thought I would make something a little different.
http://www.mothersdaycelebration.com/mothers-day-date.html

If you look closely you will see a word in amongst the letters.

I have made a standard version and a US version as well.

I print them to the size of 10cm (4 inches) and find rapid resizer the easiest way of printing them to accurate size.

I have attached a cut version of it also (needs more coats of oil still). Not sure what the timber is, cut from recycled timber from and old bed-head. Got to love council clean up days  :D

Nicely done for a wonderful 'holiday'... Thanks for joining in and passing on your great 'talents'!

A thought...Scale it UP to a size to make a nice "trivet" for Mom/Mum!

I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

I have made many of these "mom" coasters for family and friends.  They are a real hit.  But I have been asked many times:  "Can you do one for "dad"?.
It has taken me awhile to track down the original post, so I'm wondering, could the designer create one that says "dad" in it, please.
Thanks alot,
Jim
