Wish me luck
« on: March 17, 2011, 07:17:44 am »
I may need all the luck I can find today as have to do an "Echo Stress Test".  I can usually handle the walking fine but the last time they took pictures, I didn't do so well and wound up getting an angiogram.  If that's not bad enough, they called yesterday and I have to have another CT Scan which they can't do until the end of the month.  This whole process is getting to me.  I feel like my life is on hold for months and can't plan anything.

My heart bleeds for you, Kepy.  My husband is going through the same type of thing and his frustration is mounting.  Take a test and hurry up and wait.  Over and over again.  I know it will all work out in the end.

Well, ok, might be also based on your wife's decisions.

Hey Kep...I went through two and a half years of that kind of thing right before I started this crazy addiction!
I am the most impatient person in the universe and had a fight with every Dr., nurse, tech, administrator and insurance rep. at every level until I finally decided to just relax and ride it out.
Once I gave in and realized that the alternative is not so great I felt much better.

You have a lot of sympathetic and concerned friends to help... so vent any damn time it gets to you and relieve the inner stress!

I am with you and so are my prayers!!!

p.s. Email or PM me any time you want to let off steam!
I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

Kep,
I've been there and done that.  Matter off act doing it right now.  Different tests but I empathize with the treadmill stress test.  I do one very year now since my quadruple bypass in 2001.  Hang in there my friend it will all pass.

I actually passed the test.  Had a bad moment when the tech doing the ultrasound frowned and said she didn't have enough contrast.  Wound up with an IV and something injected that seemed to work.  Did the walking part fine and got another injection before I quit then more ultrasound.  The Dr. said everything looked good except my heart rate dropped too fast when I got off the treadmill.
Now I get to wait til the 29th for the CT scan.
