Treble Clef Clock
« on: March 10, 2011, 08:54:15 pm »
I'm a fairly new scroller but was excited to make this project that I found in an old 2003 Scroll Saw Work Shop magazine.  I gave it to a retired music teacher who also is a very accomplished pianist. She was so excited to have this Trebile Clef.  I made it out of black walnut which belonged to her husband who was also a woodworker before his passing.  This is probably my greatest joy with scrolling is to give my creations away and see the joy that it brings.

Hey Rogh, That is beautiful! Excellent cutting and shaping! did you route the edges or are they sanded? Either way, it is a beauty!

Very Nice!  I am kind of partial to walnut myself...also like the way you rounded the edges!  Thanks for sharing  :)

Awesome job Rogh48, i'm sure she loved it and will treasure it. I still haven't made myself anything scrolling, everything is for someone else. I think that's the best part, giving what you make to someone else. More reason to keep on cutting. ;D
Thanks for sharing.

Great clock. Bet she liked it, who wouldn't? Seems like another thing scrollers have in commen besides the love for scrolling is the love to give things to others and the satisfaction that gives.

I routed the edges and sanded in order to blend it all together.  Rounding the edges just seemed to give it a more finished look.

Really beautiful job.  Giving her something that came from her husband will make it all the more special.

Really nice work, keep it up. What you have done for this lady will be a constant reminder of her husband and her love of music. My hat goes off to you...
