GLUEING FELT

I HAVE TO GLUE SOME FELT IN THE BOTTOM OF A DISPLAY BOX AND WAS WONDERING WHAT ADHESIVE EVERYONE USES.

I HAVE SOME SUPER 77 SPRAY ADHESIVE BUT IT DOESNT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT USING IT FOR FELT.  I WAS HOPING MY CUSTOMER WOULD FIND A FLOCKING THAT HE LIKED BUT HE FOUND THIS FELT INSTREAD.

ANY HELP APPRECIATED

The only thing I know about glueing felt is go light on the glue as felt tends to get hard if there is to much glue. I only know this because I did it at kids club a few weeks ago. Can't even remember the glue we used. Am rather interested in what answers you will get.

my suggestion would be to first put down two-way tape, then lay the felt on to that.

Elmers Carpenter glue, more permanent.
Rubber Cement, easy to clean off when the felt needs replaced and holds well.
Contact Cement, permanent.
Double Sided Tape (Carpet Tape) can be removed, as Judy suggested.

All will work well.  8)

Craft stores have felt with a sticky back already put on it. Just cut to shape, peal the paper backing off and stick in place. It comes in 8" x 10" sheets allot like typing paper and a lot of colors.

I use 3M 77 for all my felt work, mostly for portrait backing, never had a problem.  Edward

I use a spray adhesive for all my felt as well.  never had a problem.  Just a light coat and it sticks very well.

I use PVA and have never had a problem, I glue my felt or velvet to a piece of card then glue it into the bottom of the box

3M "77" was originally formulated to glue 'headliners' in automobiles!

I have used it to glue fabrics, felt, paper, card stock, etc. for years and have never had a problem!
Always apply the spray to the object and then apply the fabric carefully to the object.

However, be sure you mask off any area you do not want to have glue on!
That damn stuff is STICKY!!!
