Wood Facts The Last of Series
« on: March 06, 2011, 02:41:19 am »
With the warmer weather coming north, how about some bug control? The link even has some recipes for GB ;D
This mignt be the last of this series, but I have something brandnew lined up for tomorrow.

American Black Walnut {Juglans nigra} produces a natural chemical called Juglone that repels some garden insects and fleas. By placing small branches or leaves of it around your house in inconspicuous areas and in and around your pets sleeping area you will find your dogs and cats will have less fleas.

Keep the Black Walnut away from your garden, leaves, sawdust, mulch, etc.  It also has a chemical that inhibits plant growth, so says my Bride, the expert.  (and she really is)
