The beginners who find this site have no idea how fortunate they are.  My first contact with scrolling was in the 60's and back then found no references, so everything was done by trial and error (a lot of error).  Steve and the members here have created a reference and family place that is top notch.

I agree with everything that has been said. Only been Scrollsawing for less than a Year but have learnt so much on this Site.
The best is that all the Tips and hints are given free of Charge.
So a big thankyou to Steve and all of his merry Scrollsawers.

You all should be thanking yourselves. A forum without people is nothing but an empty journal. I made the journal but you all filled it up. I think what makes this forum special are the personalities of the core group of posters.  I can't list you all but you know who you are. The maturity level of the people here is very high. I have seen many a forum die a fast death because of bickering and bullying. You all treat each other as extended friends. You treat everyone with respect and show a caring attitude for new members. That's really important.

Were lucky to have someone like Russ around to keep things running smooth. Like I have said before without Russ this forum would be a real challenge for me to keep up with. I actually don't think I could do it. Between my more than full time day job and the blog and my family there is not much time left in the day to manage the forum. I can't thank him enough.

This is the place where I break out the guitar and we all sing Kumbaya http://www.stevedgood.com/Kumbaya.mp3

Thanks Steve and Russ.  But like Steve said, this forum wouldn't be the way it is without all of us taking part and giving our 2 cents.  I just hope I can help others the way many of the group have helped me.
It's a great place to spend time...I find I am coming to the forum more times each day than the previous.
Thanks everyone.

I personally feel a bit ashamed in that I have not thanked Russ as often as I should.

Steve set up this Forum and chose a very good hearted and intelligent man in Russ to be the "Executive Officer"!

I also know from personal experience what it is like to be 'the one in charge' of a forum and I will be the first to tell everyone it is a very daunting task.

My sincere THANKS to Russ C. for being in the right place at the right time and STAYING here to be the one who takes the brunt of keeping 1,500 'kids' under control!

~~~GrayBeard~~~
I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788
Yes, this is a great place to meet and share.  I can't thank you ALL enough for all the hints, encouragement, humor and expertise you share.  Also thank Grandpa for your wonderful patterns.
