Request for an Eagle
« on: February 24, 2011, 08:26:37 pm »
I have seen a pattern of an Eagle with it's wings stretched out straight at about a 45 degree angle from left top down to right.  It is seen from above and slightly ahead.  The tail is fanned out and its beak is open.  There are about 150 to 180 cuts in the bird.  Now I know I have seen this bird somewhere and I have looked in all my books, on all the sites I go to, and all the catalogs and I can't find it.  There is a spot in one of the projects that would be perfect for this.  Can you help or am I asking to much?  TIA

Hi Chuck,

I had requested a pattern of an eagle in full flight with lots of detail near the end of January.  You can read that and all the replies in this "pattern request" section.....that request is now at the bottom of page 4.

Grampa (Paul) made an excellent pattern for me of such an eagle, and that pattern can be seen in that section of the chat.  I have just finished cutting it, and hope to post a photo of it in the "brag" section this weekend.

Thanks for the patterns.  I got them all, but the one I want is from the top, slightly in front looking down.  The reason for this the way the grain of the wood and the printing are all leading to this and I have seen it before.  If I didn't know it was out there I wouldn't be like my Bride. "That is what I want and that is the way it will be."  Of course you do know she is talking to the grand kids when she says this, right?
I wish I was a designer.  I can see it in my mind but that is as far as it goes..

I am afraid not.  Just giving it up.  Guess I could not describe it well enough.  But it would have been so nice, the image in my mind is so clear. Oh well, some days you are the statue.

It has been over a year ago that I requested a pattern for an Eagle with certain flight posture.  I just realized that I never posted what I finally found and cut out for my Bride on her birthday.  Thanks again for your efforts but this is the one I wanted and you can see why.

Thanks for the compliments.  I am sorry I did not give credit to Fred at popsshop for the pattern.
