square vase

Lisa bought one of those square vases a few months ago and asked, "What can you do with this?"  I drew up some plans and cut a box to go around it.  The original vase is on the left, the finished project is on the right.

This is my first attempt at bevel cutting with the Excalibur, and it did such a great job I didn't even have to sand the edges.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words.

MW, I used oak.

I hadn't given thought to how I could have stack cut (because of the bevels) or I would have done that.  When I started the project I didn't realize how long it was going to take, so I made it one of those I'll-work-on-it-between-orders projects.
