Nose with glasses pattern
« on: April 23, 2010, 04:50:43 pm »
Steve - I love the pattern of the nose with eyeglasses being held on them. I've cut this pattern and it turned out great. I'm planning on selling a few at my next craft show. I tried to downsize it just a little to look like it might be holding women's glasses, cut it in maple too, but the lips portion still doesn't make it look like a woman. Could you possibly redesign that pattern in a ladies style?

Thank you for all that you do. Your contribution to the scrolling community just can't be overstated.

You know when I put that pattern on the blog I was afraid everyone would ask if I were loco. My wife thought it was the dumbest project she had ever seen. I thought it was funny but I'm a little warped sometimes. To my surprise it was a big download and I received several email about it all favorable. Let me go back and take another try at the pattern and make one that looks more like a female. I'll post it on the blog when I get it finished.

I also had to 'modify' the seecreatures plans to fit my little one's glasses.  They haven't quite figured out how they're going to paint them yet, but they love them!

I found the wood thickness was a bit thick and have used 15mm, I had some for my last fair of the season and sold 3 but there was heaps of interest

Steve, I was much like your wife!
Then a friend saw one I was putting together as a JOKE and requested two for his parents!

Now I think I will do one late at night to keep for myself!

I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

That's one of the many patterns here that's on my to-do list.  I must have a similarly warped sense of humor because the first time I saw it I just cracked up.

Steve, I actually liked the nose when I saw it (been accused of being a little warped a time or two myself LOL).

I just figured I'd try to modify it to look like a dog's nose for our  youngest daughter (who loves ANYTHING dog related)...

Maybe a whole animal series would be a hit?
