This weekend's Projects
« on: January 17, 2011, 06:45:12 pm »
This weekend I had some time to spend in the shop.
The "Live Laugh Love" sign is made from 1/2 inch mahogany.
The ducks are a pattern that my dad made 20 years ago, it is 1/4 inch ply stained.
The last one is a quote that I read on someone's email signature, I liked it so I cut it out. I made the frame from some pieces that a kid screwed up at school, don't look too closely the corners are not as tight as I would like. It is oak stained. The lines are each a different wood (wenge, cherry, purpleheart, narra, and a mystery wood) the finish is lacquer. it says "life is too short for drama and petty things so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly"
 Thanks for looking!

They are all great, MrsN.  I especially like the ducks.  What a nice plaque!  I think you had a very productive weekend! :)
