Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I've been lurking around here for a little while now....picked up a lot of useful information! Relatively new to scrolling, although I've owned a scrollsaw for several years, just never tried anything more complex than a few simple cutouts for different projects I was working on. Stumbled across some of Steve's videos on Youtube one day, and they led me here. Really just started doing some more comlex projects after a health scare with our Labrador. Thought we were losing him, so I decided to do a portrait of him for my wife, who I knew would lose her mind once her "bestest boy" was gone. The portrait turned out pretty decent for a hack like me, so I decided this was going to be a "scrollsaw Christmas" for my entire family! Made ornaments for each part of the family following Steve's tutorial video, made a couple of framed pics using Sheila Landry patterns and a tiger portrait for my daughter using a Sue Mey pattern. I'll post some pics in the "Brag" section when I get the chance.
I am a retired Air Force Master Sergeant, presently working for the USPS doing rural delivery. I was born here in a small coastal town in Maine, and returned here after retiring from the military.
I have read through countless posts on this forum, and have gained so much information from you folks here, you made my work turn out much better than it would have if I'd tried it on my own! Thank you very much!
