Opinions please
« on: November 30, 2010, 08:53:06 pm »
I am making a box for my sister in-law, she is a recent breast cancer survivor. She finished her last chemo this summer and is now cancer free. My question is this, normally when I make a box top I make the background black. I was thinking of painting this one pink, but am not sure about the look of the pink, I made the box out of Cherry (she likes Cherry wood). I am attaching a pick of the top, it is a pattern by Sue Mey. So what do you think, I only have one cut and I need to give it to her in less than three weeks. Should I put pink felt inside the box as well.

                                                      Thanks,
                                                                  Mark

Hey Mark, I think the inlay would look great if it was pink and the background black. By the way, excellent cutting!

I think Pink would be good for the lid liner or lid back.  Pink lining would work good...flocking or felt would be a good choice.  Nice job on the top cut!  And congrats to your sister-in-law!!

Lisa said, "You can never have too much pink."  LOL  I guess that sums it up.

I'm happy for your sister!  Way to go!

Pink & Black it should be.  Elvis's favorite colors....  Very good on the cutting.
Looking forward to seeing your final pics.  Danny  :+}
